But on the way, the bat rays had settled back into the sand, and this time, Andy and I were able to hover quietly just a few feet over one. We could've rode it if we were students of Scuba Schools of America, but we hadn't been trained to do that and so we held off.

Comments: Yes Virginia, there is Grunion. Several of the DiveVets group met up at Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro for the Grunion run. The beach was packed with kids, biologists, Grunion and playful adults.
