They made no mention to me they would be closed. For a company I have sent so many divers to, and have spent so much money with they don't seem to care about the package. I am getting very upset and am one step away from reporting them to the BBB. I also made a report with UPS.

I don't know what to do, what would you do?

A) You're doomed, at least till next week.

B) How much money did you save by blowing off the LDS?

Custer has definitely taken his stand against buying on line. Hope it's his last (you remember how it worked out for the General).
This kind of snafu can happen with anyone using UPS or any other mail service. It even happens to your LDS some times! It's a hassel, but I'm sure it will work out.

I have had good experiences with LP and made some good buys, but I did need to replace a speargun in a hurry once, they had a great deal, but alas, they were on vacation. Lost a lot of brownie points on their unavailabilty with me zeN

These guys lied to him, more than once, to purposely stroke him till they went on vacation.

Hope your LDS isn't that bad.

There's lotsa gear/accessories I'd buy on the internet, but nothing I depend on, for sure.

The difference is that a good lds would have just tuned the reg...

The reg isn't broke it just needs a little adjustment or at worst a new seat. Seats will go bad whether the reg is used or not. We often had regs sitting long enough that we put a rebuild kit in them before we sold them.

Another difference is that when a good lds looses your stuff in the mail they'll let you use one of theirs for free while they find yours.

I know, It's hard to find a good lds but LP isn't a dive shop at all. They just take boxes in one door and ship them out the other.

Granted some LDSs suck, but it sure would have been easier to just walk it in and have them detune it...or maybe it's the 1st stage. That won't be found out until the get back and find the reg in working order. Then we the 1st stage have to be shipped to them and wait another couple weeks. Even at minimum wage, the time wasted would even be more than the most expensive LDS.

Did you sent the whole thing in? They'll have a hard time tuning the second stage without the first stage. Does LP tune anything? They might just swap it with another one. There's half a chance the next one will do the same thing.

Yep, if the seats are good tuning it would take all of a few minutes. Not to mention that it should be done before the reg is sold.

The folfs who want to get regs from LP need to know how to setup test and tune their own.
