My feelings are so hurt. Will let you guys/gals get back to solving your sub forums internal issues....looks like you have several all nighters ahead. Happy and safe diving.

I don't think we need opt-in functions, I do believe that the mods should be more liberal in giving people permanent vacations from this sub-forum. I mean, really, there are one or two people that insist on driving their own anti-DIR agenda in the face of half a dozen calling them out for doing so in a well-reasoned, patient manner.

Once that person continues to insist on tossing anti-DIR rhetoric into this forum, I'd say ban them. Will allow us to keep on topic and to the point, and will allow for our conversations to proceed without being derailed all the time.

Go read some past threads. New divers come in here all the time asking for gear configuration perspectives. More experienced divers respond and are patient in their responses. Kudos to them. Mentoring in action. Then someone comes in and starts dropping DIR f-bombs all over the place and the thread goes to ****.

If we want to keep the threads from going south there is a simple answer. Remove the problem children permenantly.

Seriously, why not have 'members' and a moderator? If the members find that someone comes in trolling about and dropping their f-bombs a simple nomination to remove the offender and five votes to carry it out. Then boot 'em, permanently from the DIR forum.

Hey thanks for putting up my BIO....looks good,,,,wish others in SB would take the time to fill them out and try and keep the info. upto date!! And the red highlight is nice.
