I'll be diving starting Feb. 19 for a week. What's the current water temp now? Has it been cloudy and windy top side? I come and dive every winter but freeze to death every time no matter how much neoprene I bring. Just wondering how the weather has been and will be mid-late February under and top side so I can prepare as much as possible. Thank you very much!

Here's a 10 day forecast: Cozumel, Mexico 10-Day Weather Forecast | Weather Underground

81, last two weeks of January

My computer graphs show water temps of 80 - 81 mid February 2024.

I was in Coz last week (Jan 25-Jan 29). Most diver's computers were showing 78 or 79. It was cold. Everyone was wearing a full suit, saw a lot of dive hoods and vests.

Speaking of weather... I'm thinking of a last minute trip down to Coz. The 2 week forecast shows winds basically from the E with a little variation from SE to ENE over that time with a highest average speed of 15mph/13kn/24kmh.

This should mean no missed dives, right? I'm asking because I lost a few days to port closures the last time I was there. FWIW, I'm also considering Roatán or Utila.

That would be most likely correct. I saw the same thing.

I am here now and it is a very consistent 80 degrees. Won't get colder only warmer from here on out. Probably 81 by the time you get here.
