ForceE free night dive July 24th, 2010:
Well, there were so many bad divers in the water, it was almost impossible to miss them. I thought a Southern Ray silted out the bottom at one point, but instead ran into a woman bicycling her split fins through the sand... Literally 3/4 of her split fins were bicycled back into the sand every kick she made. I have no idea why she had a camera in her hands. Her dive partner was exactly the same, and every time I tried to move away from them, they moved with me for an hour (I count it as the "flip-side" to all the great pictures and comments we all make about the bridge and our constant attempts to get people to dive there and see the cool stuff. It is bound to happen sometimes)
I tried to get pictures of 4 different seahorses, including a Orange banded seahorse (with black and white bands), but they were all so grainy and full of sand, I deleted them from my computer without editing (A verifiable find because KBeck saw them on my camera before I deleted them ;P )
I found the only ever instance where I have ever seen a Warty Sidegill Sea Slug out hunting! Every time I moved in to take a picture of it, another diver (honestly attempting to be helpful) would shine his bright yellow video camera light on it to "help" me with lighting. I kept trying to get him to turn it off, but I guess the signals got crossed in the black of night under the bridge.
This is the best shot I got of the creature (I had to edit out all the orange to get this grainy pic):
In all, I took over 200 pictures and these are the best of the bunch
