I've been wondering if the helicopter ride to the chamber can ecsaserbate DCS. Around here the closest chambe is a 30 minute ride on medivac.

The helicopter flies at a low altitude in transporting the patient to the chamber.

The small altitude increase might exacerbate DCS slightly. The benefits of quickly getting to a chamber far outweigh the small risk of the low altitude helo flight.

The shorter the time interval between the appearance of symptoms and the start of hyperbaric chamber treatment, the more likely you are to avoid having permanent damage and symptoms left over after the treatment series.

thanks i kinda figured that but wasn't sure
