As for Ken, check the sales figures for the past ten years and you will see that you are in the minority here. :-)

This is driving the third Beatlemania. When Paul kicks, you can count on yet another....

Record Company: "Oh look - we found yet some more "unreleased" stuff to foist on a hungry and gulible public desparately attempting to hold onto their youth..."

Of all the zillions of years of recorded history, I have to live in the Beatle minute. And re-live in it. And re-live in it.

Well, Ken, at least you live up to your title. :D

ok perhaps i am older than a few of you guys yes i remember watching them live on T.V. i must admit to liking some of the Betles music ...Yes i remember it the first time round....but hey how can you knock any one that has had records and hits in the 60's 70's 80's 90's 00''s etc etc i will admit they are not my favorite but i will never knock someone with that track record i will just sit back and admire

Elenor Rigby/Blackbird

Mo2vation - there hasn't been a Beatles song recorded in years (unlike some other aging musicians I could mention) - but still young kids buy the old stuff! It's obviously not so stale for some.:eyebrow:

C'mon - be honest - wouldn't you like your own stuff to last THAT long? (or are you just secretly jealous????)((or is it because -THEY WERE BRITS!!!!!!!:11:))

Here I sit at my desk in EMI music in London :11: shocked I am that people would consider the music industry so cynical :11ztongue

I might just have to go lean on those famous railings which are now in the Staff restaurant in order to recover my composure and my youth ! ;)

You should have someone take a picture of you leaning on those railings for a new avatar!

Natasha:
...
I agree it's hard to pick only one.
I would have to say
Norwegian Wood
Rocky Raccoon
Hey Jude
Let it be..
in no special order..are all my favorites.
Natasha...as I read the first few responses, I was debateing which of my 5 favorites I would say was my most fav - throw in Yesterday and your list is the same as mine!
Although, Blackbird and Golden Slumber (actually, the entire White Album, for that matter) are pretty good, too.

I like funny people.

I have no time for starry-eyed ex-hippies. These people need to take a shower, put down the love potion number 9 and realize that the social revolution promised has not, and will not be fulfilled.

All you need is love.... and a job, and a vision, and some ambition, and a plan, and, and, and...

No wonder all of these beatle "fans" love "Yesterday"... read the hopless lyrics, get your eyes out of the read-view miror and turn the page, people.

But you're still funny. And I like that!

K

Ken darling:
I've been trying hard to let you speak your peace? and not get down on you.

But, you my dear, need to take a chill pill.
