Welcome to the neighbourhood, and of course the local neighbourhood too in central FL. Where are you in O-town? I am in College Park, do pretty much anything in the water around here, there are a few of us in town, hopefully we will have another social gathering soon if not more diving.
As Jenny said, keep an eye out in the Fl Conch Divers section for local events, looks like the next few are in REEF ID this weekend, Boynton Bch next weekend, my little springs trip over thanksgiving, Bulla's housewarming/moving party and Crystal River manatee trip in early december. Not sure beyond that, but things are moving in our area.
