Well damn, I came back to the board at a unique time it appears. Your dive op was first class and we truly enjoyed having that night out with you all those years ago.

I have learned that life is rarely static and things often change. I am sure your next chapter will be as amazing as the Cozumel run, because you are a great person. Hit me up on the DM function if you have time. I shot you a message there a few mins ago before reading this. -Ryan

I regret never having gone diving with you. I admire your dedication to your customers and your employees. If you end up somewhere that we can become patrons in the states please let us know. Reading the comments, I suspect you'll have a long line at your door.

Just curious if anyone knows how to get in touch w/ Pedro? I wonder if he'd consider being a private DM for a day.

I never dove with Blu XtaSea but as a fellow diver in recovery I wish you all the best.

WOW - rereading that post from Jan 2020 made my eyes leak! We had no idea what was ahead of us at that time. So all of those things that were not true then, are true now thanks to COVID - and thanks to some amazing opportunities and life changes. I did sell my car, I did sell my house, and I have sold both boats and closed the business.

I appreciate the kind words, and I will still pop in from time to time to check in on the sandbox.

For those who asked, I am starting my final semester of graduate school in May and will be a licensed Addiction Counselor by December, and I will have my provisional Mental Health counseling license as well - permanent licensure requires 3000 post graduate supervised hours so I will be working on that as well for the next couple of years.

I am in the Minneapolis suburbs (and I LOVE it) working for Hazelden Betty Ford Youth Foundation - residential treatment for 12 - 24 year olds with co-occurring disorders (mental health disorders + substance use disorders) as an intake specialist and as a counseling intern. This is also where I plan to stay as a counselor once I am licensed because working with the kids is the most rewarding and important work I have ever done.

The last 20 years were a rollercoaster between nortes, hurricanes, my own struggles with addiction, changes in regulations, cruise ship invasions, and pandemics - but I wouldn't trade those years for anything because it was all a part of God's plan for my life. It is where I built and created a dream, gained and raised a family with my wonderful team. I made many friends that I will have for life both on the island and around the world.

Thank you all for your support and discourse - even when we didn't see eye to eye.

Dive safe and wishing you all many more bubbles in your future!

Best wishes,
Christi

PS: My highest recommendations are for ScubaTony and Punta Sur Divers
