Ah come to Catalina. The seas appear to be calm here and the vis is decent!
 
I cruised through Laguna during my lunch break today. There's some small wave/surge action, but the coves looked diveable. Vis looks like it's clearing up a bit. The weather was perfect ... ~73 deg and clear.

There's another pulse of strong NW energy that is projected to start filling in by next tues. It looks like more long period ground swell (18-20 sec) coming in from a steep angle (300+ deg). A bit too steep for Laguna ... San Diego and Ventura may get some exposure.
