carlislere:
I read and heard this morning that the reefing has been delayed to June.

...... :( not a surprise though.

I was hoping it would be sunk when I go down in July.

Maybe not.

Tom you never know...that might just happen.

I would have thought you would be able to dive the wreck by June, Betail. I am surprised it is taking this long from the original reefing date. I am afraid if they postpone again, most dive stores may wait till next year and plan something else instead.

For those that will be in or around Austin on Saturday, May 5.

Oak Hill Scuba is having a grand reopening party and sale. Larry McKinney of Texas Parks and Wildlife will be on hand, with a slide presentation, to talk about the reefing of the Texas Clipper. He will be at the shop from 2:00 - 4:00. Come by the shop and get the latest updates from those in the know.

Oak Hill Scuba is located at 6156 B Hwy 290 West in Austin, TX

Any update, my trip starts next week and I am wondering if I bother to bring any gear?

For the Clipper? You definitely won't be diving it next week. Latest I've heard is mid July, at best.
