memphis diver:
was just wondering if we had any divers from tennessee?
i live in the memphis area and up near paris.
Hi memphis diver,
Welcome to ScubaBoard! I live in Memphis too. I have heard great things about SaraLynn, but have not had the chance to meet her yet. The Dive Shop over off of Yates has certification classes on a regular basis, and they have a boat at Heber Springs that does dive trips all through the summer as well. You might want to check them out. Best of luck to you!

Which is great if you like zero viz water, and diving with a boat load of people. Both the Dive shop and H20 use Heber for the OW cert. dives. I won't return to Heber due to that and the high volume of boat traffic that have no regard for dive flags. Surfaced 30 yards inside the buoy's one day, 60 yards from the bank and had 4 ski doo's hitting 50 mph dang near take me out after I surfaced. Nope, would quit diving before going back there. Oh, and the dive shop boat was 200 yards away and they had already zoomed over their divers. That's why we use mainly quarry's or the ocean. Landlocked boaters have no idea what is going on.

I am from Pleasant View, which is just between Clarksville and Nashville. Just got back today from Penny Royal in Hopkinsville, KY and water was 48 degrees at 50' and 45 at 74'
