After a week of westerly and southwesterly winds
on the east coast of Florida, we ought to have some
upwelling bottom water get "shallow" enough for
deep divers to feel it...not to mention the mixing
produced by Jeanne. We should have very light
westerlies or calm winds till Wednesday and switch
East from Thursday on.
I am interested in surveying those who dive deep
the next five days for temperatures at depths and,
if possible, at their deco stops. The purpose is to
determine if cold temps deviate significantly from
the computed temps we use in a cyclone's heat
budget.
The method would be simply to log your temps at
whatever depths you have been for more than two
minutes...including deco stops, gas switches or
similar bottom and ascent stops. Position, either
on Lat / Lon or name of site, greatly appreciated.
You can post it here to share the info with other
deep divers or PM me....Wally1716@aol.com
