Do you spread the word about this place? Or do you keep it a secret?

The reason I ask, is simple. Many of the the newcomers to the board have indicated that they "stumbled across" us through a search on the Internet.

I tell any diver who's willing to listen about this place. Well quite frankly I'll also tell anyone who's thinking of taking up diving about it too. As a DM, I encourage the students to any class I assist on to pop up for a visit and start soaking in the information that you all share (I'm lazy ~~ I've printed up some cards with the web address and my user name on it).

So do you? Do you tell others about our wonderful little home-away-from-home?

As a diver who just stumbled across this board I was amazed that it existed and I had not heard anyone talk about it. Everyone I thought would have known about it didn't. I have told a few people about the board but not everyone (pearls before swine and all that).

I stumbled across this site, but I tell all my dive buddies about it. Its a great place for learning, hearing about new things, or hearing how things are done differently in other parts of the world. I would still have no clue about DIR and different types of diving without it........

i spread the word whenever the oportunity presents itself.

Andy

too much good stuff here to miss out on. kinda like solo diving, its no fun unless you have someone to share it with.

My boyfriend told me about this site since I had some questions about diving before I took my classes.

I've only dove 5 times so far ;-0 , but I would definately pass the word about this board along. There's pretty much an answer for every question here.

I give all the students I work with one of my DM cards that has my home phone number, my email addy and and the back, the links to 4-5 of my favorite sites. Scuba Board is No. 1 on the list!

I happened on the site while surfing. I have since let my students about it though. It also seems to come up after dives while we are cleaning our gear and getting ready for a cool one.:boom:

oh yeah...i stumbled upon this site as well and thought gosh !!!

this is an excellent website with lots of stuff to learn !!!!

i've told my friends abt it and encourage them to visit this site to learn more..........

Cool site !!!=-)

I found this link by reading my LDS website. However, whenever I discuss things that have been posted and I find interesting to share with my buddies they all raise that skeptical eyebrow of "you believe in what you read on the internet" look. Most of them have long time in the dive industry and have alot they could offer, but because of the reputation of internet boards and chat rooms being full of phoney, and weird people they won't even give this board any credibility. Too, bad for them. So I live in two separate dive communities, here and my LDS friends.
