While I was at the Texas Dive show, I won a trip on the Texas Clipper. I was wandering how much experice do you need to dive there? Is it like the Texas Flower Gardens "only the very experience need apply"?

It is great you won the trip. Right now S Padre is spring break center but you can enjoy the beach, bars and food any time you go. Check out american diving's web site if you want to understand the clipper. Click on Captains log. If you fly into harlingen take a minute to drive past the Iwo Jima Monument as you leave the airport. Its as impressive as the one in washington. Remember when you dive the clipper she was at Iwo Jima.

Thanks everyone. Not sure when Im going. But I am looking forward to it.

ChairmanTARAC.. Before my daughter joined the navy we toured the Iwo Jima Monument in Washington. It is awsome. Glad to know about the one here in Texas. I will make it a point to stop by when I am down there.

carlislere...I am certified in nitrox, but that don't seem to mean a thing considering how fast I sucked down air last week in Cozemul. Bottom time 2minutes, lol!The link was very helpful. Thanks.

By the way, I just got email, I also won Discover Tech Diving course with Elite Tech Diver while at the dive show. Now that should be interesting,...me and tech diving. :shocked2: I guess this is my lucky year.

froglady, thanks for your interest, When you go, Harlon Block the marine who is putting the pole in the ground is buried in a grove a trees next to the monument. He was from Harlingen. Chairman tarac
