Are there any decent books that cover extended range diving? It seems that many aspects of decompression, physiology and gas theory and planning could be well-covered as an academic subject.
I recently completed the deep, wreck and nitrox specialties. Now the local boat operators are telling me I am not qualified for deeper wrecks unless I take advanced nitrox, decompression and extended range. Where does the C-card chase end?
No offense intended to the instructors on the board, but I am growing frustrated by the price/performance ratio of certification classes and the very limited information included in the associated agency manuals.
