-Yep welcolm to MY world. $1700 is nzd and includes payment to our government of 15%. I think yea that equates to $1150 usd
In fairness thats the top of the line Halcyon with ally backplate, backplate 4kg lead and BIG weight pockets built in. We are a pimple on the rear end of the world so we pay for the privilage.
What do you guys pay for a NEW poodle jacket BC then? we pay between 300 and $1500nzd
I got an exceptionally good deal on my AI computer and paid $800 for a sherwood computer

I think the poodles are mostly more than 400 USD wherever I have seen it you can get lower on sales during winter time. I guess you guys do not have real winters there so you do not have those sales and it does not apply to you :D , always add a tax on top as we have all the prices posted before tax.

I once got a back inflate Sherwood Solaris women's BCD for my wife for US160. That was probably the best SCUBA purchase ever :)

It does not have padding and so "minimalistic" and I like it so much that I do not even hesitate to use it myself on the trips down south. Who cares that it's a woman's BCD :)

A BP/W for thi kids is $1700? That does not sound right. As netdoc suggested did you look at the Zeagle express tech? You can get 5 of them of 1700.00 bucks even if you figure in the weight belt and everything else. (not counting reg's)

Or 4 of them with shipping to NZ

Highflier

Ayisha, give me your LDS address :) I agree you can get some stuff from DDS in StC about that range but I would consider 780cdn being a very good price, and 400 and 500 very good for other BPs.

I bought my Halcyon Infinity with accessories as mentioned above for $780 (plus tax) from AquaSub here in Toronto in June 2011. My total was $880 Cdn. The price was quoted to me in March and the prototype for a small bp with cinch was supposed to be ready in April but the system was not ready until June. I heard the price went up but they honoured their price when it came.

They still had one or two in the fall. I'm sure they could order it if wanted at a good price and maybe they will ship?

When I mentioned $400 or $500 for other bp&w's, I was referring to online prices that I've seen in a few threads on SB and Ontario Diving. I didn't look at the prices of the other bp&w's in the LDS, so I don't know what they go for. I already knew which one I wanted.

Edit: I checked and the price has gone up by $109 to $889 plus tax at http://shop.aquasubscuba.com/Shop/ProductsList.aspx?CategoryID=1037
