Certain occupations (like Law Enforcement) can write off things like uniforms and equipment. Ordinary workers can't do this because their work clothes can be used in other settings.

Ha ha guess we can't write off wetsuits anymore. I saw a stripper on stage start off her show in a 3mm shorty once....:eyebrow::D

Interesting question from someone in Canada! A??? Check with the Canadian Department of Revenue! All us posters what I posted applies to all "57 States"* and territories maybe! *(57 states quot from B.H. Obama campaign 2008)
 
Jim since your in the US your steel toes are "Safety equipment" required by your employer! A uniform is anything with a logo or would not normally be warn in social settings! UPS pants are a uniform brown pants with piping only maybe! LOL
