My FICA tax is $10,000 more than my income tax.... self employment - YUCK!!!

I have 1000 comming back to me and not sure what island to hit yet Aruba, Bonaire or Curacao for this July too many choices

Taxes>!!!! Well on top of the thousands read (1,000's) that I have already paid I have to stroke a check for $584.00 before April 15.

I guess since I am ultimatley paid by tax funds I really do not have a soapbox to preach from but.....

Having no kids, tax shelters and married filing seperatley this year really bent the spar.

So for tax season this year I get to dream of working more over time! woo hoo

Already spent my less than $1000 return towards my trip to Cozumel. Single with no kids...I need some deductions. I think I should be able to claim my dog at 60# she is a small child right?

Well, the more than $1000 went to (almost) pay off the wife's Explorer. However, IF I hadn't bought a "new" work truck, I would have used the resulting $500 a month to buy two new regulators, doubles, doubles wing, new 'puter, Intro class, trips to cave country, maybe an occasional boat dive, backup mask, need I continue?
