A group of us will be meeting behind Thunberg Auto Parts on the shore of Tawas Bay to dive some old water industries site. Former Lumber Mill, Ice house and Fisheries site only out in the bay a couple of hundred yards. The area covers about six football fields. There are a lot of artifacts including machinery, bottles, tools and a lot more. Always has produced treasures in the past. Site is only max of 12-15ft. So lots of time to dig around.
We will be meeting at 10am. Mike will have his dive trailer there so we will have a heated changing room and we will be cooking out afterwards.
Thunberg's is just north of the State Police Post. Pull in and head to the back of the building.
This will be a great chance to find treasures and get wet again after a long winter.
