I dive with a pony bottle (19 cu ft). I routinely practice with it, and find that (unsurprisingly) the pressure drops with use. How can I top up the pony bottle between dives? I was thinking of doing a (main) tank to (pony) tank transfer - all that I would need would be a hose, two adapters (both yoke), and a pressure-relief valve. Is there anything like this on the market, prefabricated? If not, where would you find the parts?

Thanks

And how long does it take to equalize through the pinhole size hole in a HP hose ?

(An Al 80 takes around 20 minutes to empty from a cut HP hose)

not sure how fast you want to fill it or how fast it's recommended to fill it but that's about the time a small compressor would fill it in.
he says "refilling" so I assume it's in between dives which means connect and enjoy your surface interval, it's not a time sensitive or life threatening situation, plus, if you transfill often in between tanks you would have a cascade, compressor, ...; making the din to din whip not that useful.
p.s. if you need faster transfills just stop by your local hydrolic store, they got almost everything one could imagine.

I have not timed it, but I would estimate about 10 min. The beauty of it is that you can just carry a small fitting in your save-a-dive kit and either top up a pony or just add a small spurt of gas so you don't have to argue with the vip nazies.
