Greetings!

I just put together my Dive Rite Transplate. I'm using scuba pro tank straps simply because I like them best from what I've used. My question is this, after weaving them through the tank bracket and rubber friction shoes, it seems that they are so long, i have to have the velcro part cinched up as far as possible around the tank, before it takes up enough slack to hold the tank. It seems it would hold a tank at least 15" in diameter. Did I get a different standard tank strap?

I have it right now so it works correctly, however, having to cinch it so far around the tank, means i had to slide the straps so the buckles are not on the back center of the tank, but more (looking from the back) around to the right. I don't think I like the buckles that close to my Wing bladder.

Thoughts anyone?

Thanks,
Bill

Upon further investigation, it seems these straps accommodate more webbing wrap per say in the SB plates or bcd's it might be used for. I was able to thread it slightly differently taking up a couple more inches of slack, and it now works much better.
