Hi guys,

Just a couple of quick questions:

How much do you pay / charge for a rental tank of air?
Where are you based?
Do you think it's reasonable for your location?

Nothing fancy, just an aluminum 80 with a standard air fill.

Thanks in advance for your replies!

Ian

depends on where i'm diving and with what boat. Usually its about $8 per tank. Some places charge $10 per tank and i've seen it as high as $12.50, and Nitrox ranges from $12.50-$15

I dont have my own tanks so i'm pretty much always forced to rent unless someone is nice enough to let me borrow some.

Oh and I live in South FL area and would consider it pretty reasonable

$4.50 - $6.00 for a fill in PA for that alum 80

Rent the same for $8-$13

4 for air (any size tank)
8 for nitrox (any size tank)

That's what we charge. (Central FL)
there's no place cheaper around us.

Rent tanks I believe is 10.

We charge $5 per air fill. There are only two other locations in our area that fill. One is a military surplus store (who knows what their air quality is) and they charge $7.50. The other place is another scuba shop that charges $10. We're the best price in a huge radius.

Air fills: $5 per or 10 for $40.

Dive club, $49/yr = free air fills & 1/2 price Nitrox

I only rent tanks since I don't own one.

I pay $10 per tank at my LDS.

Located in North FL

Most tank rentals here are around $10

Most fills are $6-$8

I bought 2 steel 130's from a local shop and they have never charged me a dime for a fill. I was so impressed with their service I haven't bought gear from anyone else since.

Hilo, Hawaii:

Fill: $5.00
Rent: $8.00

Kona is similar, but varies a little between shops.

Best wishes.
