Highlands have a better(for salt water use tank bands) grade of stainless steel.
 
You didn't ask but you might look at the bands from Tech and Wreck on Ebay. They are made by Detroit Mud Puppy on this and other sites. I don't get a dime from him and have never met the man but I do use several sets of his bands and don't hesitate to recomend them.

As for the comment about the all thread as apposed to a bolt or cap screw please note that the major and minor diameters of a given thread size is the same for any comporable size fastner, and just for reference I believe that Victor / Detroit Mud Puppy uses 3/8" rod.
