Although I find some of what was posted funny I think it is wrong to make the Afghan people out to be like any of that. For the most part they are poor hardworking people that have been under the thumbs of bad governments for what seems like an eternity.

They hate America not for any valid reasons, but because they have been taught to hate us since birth. Maybe with a little compassion for them as well as help ridding them of a terroristic type of government they will come to see the light.

I for one wish we could eliminate the bastards like Bin Laden and corrupt repressive governments like the Taliban without having to hurt the innocent people in this region of the world.

I wish we could convey my message to the people of Afghanistan so they would know we are not there to take away their religion or their way of life. We are doing what we are doing for what is right, terrorism has been a way of life in many countries for far too long, so now is the time to change that!

Islam is Islam and I don't begrudge anyone for their belief unless that belief leads to violence which I would say is not likely in the case of most Muslims.

Many Afghans don't hate America. They remember us as an ally from the Soviet occupation days and see the Taliban as a merciless dictatorship and Al Queda as Arab invaders who hijacked their country. Many of the Afghan women see our attack on the Taliban as their chance to get their human rights back. However, there are many there who do hate us.... BTW some of those shows were pretty funny...
