Snowbear:
I remember that from when I was there... very strange.

How long does it last before it goes away?

12 - 24 hours. It's still present (now) after nearly 12 hours.

Dive-aholic:
BTW, what's up with the missing seal? Did you buy your drysuit from Uncle Pug? :D

No, it blew last month diving with Snowbear, Pug and Shane up in Port Hardy BC. I've been too busy diving, working and posting on SB to fix it.

I was going to bring a different kind of liner for you to try last night... sorry to miss the Puff Daddy Dive Show. However, since you put one liner over your ug that kinda eliminates that.

The only other common denominator is the location. I think you have Alkianaphylaxis.

Well, we'll get a chance to see tomorrow in some other waters...

Snowbear:
That's just it - Mechanical irritation is unlikely, since it's happening in both wrists...

Swapping the HID around to different hands? I'll grab the HID with my right hand all the time -- either while I'm dumping, or just to look at stuff off to my hard right...

Two dives today during the day and in a completely different location.

Swelling Is Back!

I also used different glove liners.

Dive #1 Max depth 86' - 48 minutes - Ean32%

Dive #2 Max depth 109' - 51 minutes - Ean32%

I took 600 mlgrams of Aleve an hour before the first dive.

No pain, no other swelling on any other part of my body...

Can't figure it out.

Could be the Aleve, although since it's happened on days you haven't taken it...? Wouldn't hurt to switch to ibuprofen for a while just to see.

Are your hands swollen at all when this happens or is it just your wrists? Have you started using different undergarments or gear configuration that could be cutting the circulation off higher up on your arms?

Where are the bands in relation to any seals? Do they look irritated or just puffy? Itchy?

OE2X, take a camera next time, snap a photo and post it on this thread.

Ask your GP, allways the best way.
