I have the Dive Rite XT2 regs, and the primary came with what looks like just over 90 degree swivel (110 degrees?), and after using it one time in the pool, I still felt like it was pulling to my right, and I had to keep readjusting to the left. So, I thought maybe finding a swivel that moves in all directions, not just one 'plane'.
120* is the standard but I've never really like them, I much prefer being able to use a ball swivel.
On this forum it would seem that it is standard practice to fully rebuild your own regulators, but I would truly argue that every diver should be comfortable replacing their own hoses and a swivel is treated like a hose. Very much considered normal practice to do that yourself. Is it normal practice to (re)place one at home, onto a different hose? Or should it be done by a tech?
