A 44-year-old Swiss woman lost her life while diving at Dwejra in Gozo on Saturday morning.

Police said that they were called to Dwejra Bay at around 10.20am. The diver had already been brought ashore by people who were with her.

She was immediately given first assistance by a Gozo General Hospital medical team, but unfortunately died shortly afterwards at the scene.

Police investigations are ongoing, while an inquiry has been appointed by Magistrate Dr Simone Grech.
