If you get the Vyper Air, make sure to get also an Activation Code for the Vyper Air Online Class.

Alberto (aka eDiver)

Alberto, I just got a Shearwater Predator. Do I remember correctl?... Don't you all have a program for that computer also? I do not need it for the Vyper Air as I learned it through reading the manual & trial & error. I am interested in the predator, if you have it in SA OC mode. If you do have it, how can I find the course for it &/ or the code for it? Thanks.

We are working on the online class for the Predator and plan to release it in Jan.
The simulated Predator is already available in eDiving

What ?!?!?! My strobe could interfere with the transmitter ? I have a Vyper Air used it on 3 differnt trips. At the end of the 2nd trip, on the last 2-3 dives my pressure was all over the place, 700lbs, 4000lbs, no reading, ... couldn't rely on it anymore. I reset it between dives and it would work for maybe the first 40 min or so then go flaky. Had the batteries changed this summer and went on another trip in Nov. When setting up for the very last dive of the trip, it would not register tank pressure. So I relied on a separate analog guage for that dive but I never thought the problem could be related to the strobe. Any one else have weird things happen with the Vyper Air ?

It is weird. The way our shop found out about that, was we had a customer with a Vyper Air computer (& camera) & was having problems with intermittent reading. We put it on a full cylinder, but under a fluorescent light that was flickering, due to a bad ballast. We could not get it to link up for anything. We just happened to carry the cylinder, regulator & computer outside for a few minutes & it picked right up & remained steady. If it weren't for the fact that I've seen it happen several times with different computers, I would have though of it as a fluke. The owner called Suunto's technical support & that's when we found out that strong electrical fields (the fluorescent lights & strobes) can interfere with the transmitter, at times. Whether that is all of your problems, I can not honestly say. The way I've seen it manifest itself is with just the loss of the signal.

Thanks tstormdiver. My local shop called Suunto but didn't get anywhere with them. I'm planning on calling as well so your input is good info.
