Only more comprehensive if you care about those things - I like my Vyper but have never used gauge mode, download, or backlight. (I just shine my light on it and prefer the idea of a phosphorescent screen just like my other gauges.)
 
What do you mean more comprehensive, except for gauge mode they are exactly the same in terms of screen info...

Guage Mode, plus built-in dive simulator, plus consumed bottom time graph, plus a daily alarm. Then there's the backlight issue. The real question is For what you want out of a computer are those features worth the extra money that the Vyper costs? (which btw is only $60 more on LeisurePro.com).

true, but theres cheaper places than lp. sport extreme.com has the gekko for US$226, 90 bucks cheaper than the vyper.
