I'm using version 2.6.0 and am having trouble with the air consumption tab of the dive log. First trying to use cu ft just doesn't seem to work and results in divide by 0 errors :( So I figured I'd just convert the tank size to liters and then run the calculation.

Google tells me that: 1 cu foot = 28.3168466 liter
So a 95 cu ft tank should be 2690 liters.

However, when I put that end I'm getting results that are off by over a factor of 100. Even if I put in 26.9 liters I get that the total gas in the cylinder is 154.1 cu ft.

What the heck is going on with this program? Is there a better dive log program that can interface with a cobra 2?

I've got the same setup, but with no problems. Did you set up a default cylinder, and are the units you're using consistent throughout? Also, the cuft rating is for the volume of air at the working pressure, whereas the liter rating is simply the volume of the tank itself.

Glad I could help ;) :joke:. I just came accross this thread and am glad Dave was able to straighten you out. I have the original Cobra and love it. Dive Manager is great because I print all of my dives to PDF and they get put in my binder as my log book.

ScubaSteve, how are you printing them over to a PDF, I have found it very difficult to be able to print the logs to a size that will fit in the log book
Thanks
Tim

super easy

Cute PDF Writer

I love it. It is just a matter of selecting a different printer....like printing to file. I print them 2 per page and then cut the page in half (I have a small half page binder logbook).

EDIT

I am sure that mike's PrimoPDF would work just fine as well.

All in all I like the software. I HATE the export features though. I kinda want to integrate my log into a website but a lot of the data isn't exported. And using a MS access backend is just dumb.

Maybe after my classes are done I'll work on a program to pull the information out.

I don't mean to cut into someone elses thread but since you solved mikemill's issue maybe you can explain to me how to make my cobra report my total hours in the printed report. I'm using 2.7I have an alternative thread requesting the same info...??? Just another shot in the dark...
