yeah, the straps are really nice on D4. unfortunately my LDS only has in black :(

today I ordered a D6 and a D4 for the wife ( I also wanted to check the stinger but they dont have it in stock. )..they didnt have the D6 at the shop also, but they managed to find one last one from their other branch and will get it sent to the store tomorrow. I will pick them up on thursday.. the D6 was $ 650 dollars after discount. i'm not sure if that is a good bargain but down here its the only shop that sells suunto.
I'm pretty happy with my choices.. :)

I think those will suit you fine. The D6 is a great-looking unit, and it is small enough to be used as a day-to-day watch, yet still has all the functions you are ever going to want (unless you end up going fully techie, but then you are going to be wanting a VR3 anyway, so it is moot point). You might not even be considering two gases at the moment, but at least you have the capability if you do decide to go this route down the line.

The D4 is a much-better computer than the Mosquito. It looks better, works better and is an all-round better bet. It is also lighter, which is significant when it is being used by the ladies. I think your wife will be very happy with her D4.

Enjoy your diving, and stay safe!
