Bought one 3 years ago, logged 69 dives. Like the conservative mode. Takes awhile to figure out all the menus. One of the best pieces of diving equipment I've bought.

I have about 25 dives on my Cobra and I love it. Though, I often have a difficult time hearing the alarms with a 7mm hood. I also like the PC download feature.

Another quick note. The memory holds detailed dive info for only your last 99 dives, after that the computer resets itself. I bought my PC download kit after the 100th dive and noticed I only had 1 dive in the computer. The computer's logbook feature, however, keeps a running total of your dives. I just surpassed 200 dives on my Cobra.

I've had mine for two years and love it. It does take a bit to get the menu down but after that its easy to use.
It has a very quite alarm, I never hear mine,ever. So I sold it and bought a SmartCom which I like much more. Not as conservative and the alarm is loud. That's important for old farts.
What I like most about the smartcom is what I liked least about the Cobra. Software.

Love mine, I can see quite clearly so have no need for alarms. the one time I remember hearing an alarm was when I forgot to switch from nitrox mode to air and went over 120 feet and alarm went off.
Easy to read, nice and compact and great all around features. Do not be afraid to buy one.

Even without a hood, I've never heard the alarm. Wish I had gone with a wrist mount.
I too wish I had a wrist mounted computer. I've been happy with the Cobra, but it is very conservative. I'm a conservative diver, but I don't want that forced on me by Suunto. Many great things about it, a few frustrations.
You'll read all of the good stuff with a bit of searching.
As said, the alarms are quite quiet. That said, I don't really care if I hear them or not. If I'm monitoring my gas and ascent rates, it shouldn't be a surprise.
Some of the menus are a bit frustrating and not as intuitive as I'd like.
I'm sure you wouldn't regret it if you bought it, but I know I'm looking at other options and don't think I'd buy another.

Alarms? It has alarms? I guess my high frequency hearing loss has finally found a good side, but then that might explain all of the strange looks I get from the other divers.
Actually, I've used a Cobra for about 4 years. Love it. If you want a wrist mount you could also consider the Vyper or if you plan on getting serious and doing some technical diving the Vytec is a heck of a computer too.
