Snowbear:
Actually, every person here that I've talked to who has bought a custom DC suit has had fit problems.
I agree that it's a good suit otherwise. Well, except maybe for the faulty exhaust valve. And the delaminating boots that leak. And the neck seal that blew in 60 dives.

Actually, I got a really good fit on my D.C. suit ... but the majority of folks I know who ordered custom suits weren't happy with the fit. I also think it's more the way they take measurements than anything else ... part of the reason I lucked out is that I had my measurements taken several times by different people, and remeasured every time something didn't match. It's a pain, but it paid off.

Unfortunately, my D.C. suit is very worn out and leaking in so many places that it won't even make a decent backup at this point. I'm anxiously awaiting my new suit ... the one I ordered in November.

Snowbear - what's the outlook on the new suit? I would be happy to send you mine to use 'till you get yours back. It's a DUI TLS350 - the new(2003 04?) model. I've used it once....maybe twice
This just isn't the season to hop in the water - unless you like territorial sea lions, killer whales, porpoises...etc... lol..
Somewhat kidding - we've been rebuilding our house so we have not had any time to go diving.
I would be willing to let my suit fly north for a bit if you need it. PM me if you want.

The one I was going to borrow didn't work out. The neck seal ended up being WAY to loose.
But - I've managed to borrow another one that actually fits pretty good except for the boots. I'll try it tomorrow.

I "won" an ebay special today that cost $200 with shipping. I *hope* it's in as good of shape as the seller assures me it is. I should know in a week or so.

I found a local supplier of heavier duty latex and neck seals, so I'll buy those to have on hand when I blow the flimsy one I have now.

I asked in another thread, "How's the new suit working out?" Have you even had a chance to try it yet?

Yes - I have had a chance to try it out.....twice, I think. It's really interesting - the seals on the wrists were so narrow that we were not able to install the drygloves the right way. We still need to put in an inner seal so that if my gloves leak, the whole suit doesn't flood.

Anyhoo - other than that, it is a really great suit, and I like the new zipper setup.
