I've been using locking retractors from Innovative Scuba Concepts for years.

Go to the "locking retractor" section of their website, not the "retractor" section.

Their "Locking Gripper" is pretty durable, and you can pick and choose your connectors.

Thanks to you all for your very instructive feedback! Man I love this site...

Thanks for sharing!:coffee:

Just for your info, the faulty retractor has been taken care of. After Leisure pro telling me they won't service the warranty on my retractor and I need to contact cetacea directly (:shakehead I know, I know... Leisure pro...:shakehead ), I went ahead and phoned them up. They were very nice people genuinely concenrned with my satisfaction with their products! They took down some info, got back to me a few days later and told me they are shipping a new one to me no questions asked! It seems that the locking mechanism failling (which is what happened), is a relatively isolated problem and they encouraged me to get back to them if ever I have problems with the replacement they are sending!

So I'm going to give it another try, and if it doesn't work out, I'll definetly switch to a lanyard...

Anyways, I just wanted to tip my hat to the people at Cetacea! Great service and I'll definetly be recommending their products to others!!!

Later!
