I did macro on the night dives mostly but the first 2 days, at least, were calm enough for me to do some during the day dives, too. They will likely tell you which dives you won't be able to do macro (or really, probably any photography at all) before you gear up. Out of our 11 dives, I would say 5 were too much current for macro (Manta Point, Castle Rock, Crystal Rock, Cauldron and Golden Passage) and 2 were a little difficult but still doable during parts of the dive (Mawan and Batu Bolong). The rest weren't much current at all.
