Hi, Compton 384. You can save quite a bit of money (especially if you share a rental car) by doing almost every dive from the shore on the main island of Bonaire. Most of the buoys that dive boats use there are less than 5 minutes' swim from shore. Spend your bucks on some boat dives to Klein Bonaire, though, where the water is often clearer. Maybe you can find a package that includes shore dives plus a few boat dives that you can save for Klein.
If you have a Kindle, you might drop $5 on Amazon and buy this eBook. It describes the best shore dives on Bonaire, as well as the boat dives around Klein Bonaire. I admit it, I'm the author and this is an unabashed plug. I almost always dive from shore on Bonaire: Amazon.com: Diving Bonaire eBook: George Lewbel: Kindle Store
