I floated from Cyclone to Sugar Island yesterday. This time of year that section of creek is usually unfloatably shallow. This year there is so much water that a 5 hour float could have been made in 2 hours if you just rode the main current. As far as diving goes, the upper stretch I mentioned has a few good holes that are fun to play in. The lower part between Pineville and Noel has several long holes of 15+ feet of depth but you would want to plan a trip during the week due to the heavy canoe and raft traffic on the weekends. There is literally a canoe every 50 feet for 20 miles on a typical Saturday during the summer and all of the teen and twenty partying that goes with it. It is a lot of fun to watch folks who aren't very good at handling canoes when they're not drunk trying to do so when they have downed a few. The water is clear and cool with lots of smallmouth bass and the rest of the typical Ozark river inhabitants.
