Although I've always used Sujac until recently, based on input from a relative of the vessel's owner it is either SueJac or SueJack. I'll have to find the article in which they give their input.

I_AM - Back where I started ....but at least now we know that is NOT Sujac

I'll look for that article when I have time... pretty swamped right now with diving and projects this week. The vessel went down while I was in Chicago back in the early 1980's so I knew little about its sinking. Can always check the back issues of the local papers and the Museum.

Wow... I spent 2 1/2 hours at the library and the museum trying to find the article that states the correct spelling of the vessel's name. I went through the last 15 months of both local papers, initially looking for what I thought had been a news item. Then I realized it was an obituary I read so I went back through them looking at the obituaries.

Absolutely no luck. The museum had no information on the Sueja* either.

O well .... I guess we (you mainly) did try hard!
Then I will go with the "SueJac" as reported by the cawreckdivers.

Thank you all for your help

Either way - Jaye and I will be there tomorrow. I need a break from life, and Cat is the perfect break for me.

Coming over on the 8:50 from Pedro. Valiant first dive, then park for 2, then back home. Hope to see you there, DrB!
