Rainy with a chance of rain. :) Or maybe it's just me. Everytime I step outside it pours then when I go back inside it stops again. It's the rainy season right now. Lots of cloud cover. It's not like that in singapore right now?

Thanks Drew, will call you if in Subic. We might just go straight to Anilao. BTW can you tell us how the weather is like these days.

Its beautiul in the morning, then the clouds roll in late afternoon, and fine again late night. If its cloudy I wonder if enough light to take photos underwater ?

Scuba diver caught looting World War Two wreck dies after chase

SUBIC BAY, Philippines (12 Aug 2005) -- One diver drowned, one was arrested and three others are missing after they were busted looting a shipwreck in Subic Bay.

Maritime officials told CDNN a Philippines patrol vessel spotted the looters before dawn on Thursday.

They were diving off a small boat at the site where the USS New York sank in 1941. American forces scuttled the vessel in 1941 to prevent invading Japanese from capturing it.

When the patrol vessel approached the divers, one jumped into the water and was critically injured attempting to escape. He later died on the way to a local hospital.

A second diver was arrested at the scene and officials are searching for three other divers who were also looting the wreck.

Hi
I found this forum today, maybe someone can help me. There will be 4 of us ( 2divers & 2 shoppers ) heading to Subic on Sept 26th till sept 29th. We have no clue on where to stay and who to dive with. We need a swiming pool, restaurant, AC, bed & shower and nitrox for diving.

I have heard about the Blue Rock but don't really know much else. We want to do 2 dives daily and poss night dives. We know it's all wrecks, but if there's a place nearby with some reef it would be good.

I hope to hear from someone soon. This forum looks great and I will pass it on to the groups I dive with.
