Stolen!
From my den, from our home...

~~ GOLD PLATED US DIVERS'S 2 HOSE DA AQUA MASTER ~~

The front box is engraved as follows;

~ SAMUEL MILLER ~
LOS ANGELES COUNTY
OUTSTANDING UNDER WATER INSTRUCTOR
1969

It was presented to me by Mr Tommy Thompson on behalf of US Divers at the 1969 annual LA County Underwater Instructors Association banquet. I used it for a while, then retired it to the sanctity of my home where it had rested high on a shelf in total security for the last 15 years.

It is "one of a kind" no other gold plated regulators were presented. It's estimated street value is about $2000.00 plus dollars.

TO ME, MY WIFE, MY CHILDREN AND GRAND CHILDREN THE REGULATOR HAS GREAT PERSONAL HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE
....It also must have value to the thieves who stole it from the sanctity of our home

I frequent both CraigsList, and Ebay. I'll keep an eye out for it! Sounds like it's one of a kind, and hard to disguise.
Best wishes to your search!

I'll too keep an eye out on ebay and craig's list. Sorry to hear about such an incident. Was that all they took? Or did they ransack the house? If that's all they took without disturbing surrounding rooms, maybe they knew what they were looking for. Do you associate yourself with any krusty characters? :confused:

Sam, I really do hope it is found.

Man, that sucks....good luck recovering it. Was anything else stolen? Or is this a case of someone coveting it and finally getting a hold of it? Either way, it sucks and I hope you get it back!

Sam, I am so sorry to hear of your bad news. I'll keep an eye out for it--who knows, maybe it will show up. Honestly, it sounds like an inside job. Understand me, I don't know you from Adam, but something similar like this happened to a friend of mine. His "hand made" hunting riffles were stolen. Turned out to be his son!!!! It sounds like someone close to you.....

Sam, was it a house invasion with other items stolen? If so, pawn shops and online sales. Or was only scuba gear stolen? If only That special ppiece was taken, it may be auctioned, but there is a real chance that whoever it was wanted it personally. That will be hard to find then. I hope for the best for you. Sometimes these things work out in teh weirdest of ways. We'll keep an ear and eye out for it.
