this is VERY shocking news to me, i started watching steve when his show first came out, i was watching when his dad died, the show was always great and i would have LOVED too have met him and family!!!!!!! soo sad i will always remember the crock hunter, this man was sooo full of education to myself and sooo many otheres, my heart goes out too terry and all of the family!!! damn he will be soooo frigging missed!!!

I am in shock..so sad heard about it....

I have a couple of the barbs cleaned up from rays that have gotten caught in nets. They are like the most intricately carved eskimo harpoon heads made out of stuff hard as tooth enamel with backward facing teeth. The teeth are so sharp that they will hang from your finger if you pick them up.

Although they dont have a true venom, the barbs are covered in a black gooey mucus covering that is highly invested with bacteria, (kind of like Komodo dragon saliva) and even a glancing scratch will result in a rapid and ferocious scepticemia.

Usually rays are very docile animals, but to get one in the chest, he must have fallen on it somehow. I hope it was quick.

THis is a real shame. Right up there with Sir Peter Blakes death.

Leaves behind his wife and two kids. I really feel for them.

Damned shame, I really liked that guy - a little over-the-top, but endearing.
