Stillhouse Hollow - May 6 & 7

hey guys,
My map shows an easy 80-102ft area that is closer to the damn.
Is this area accessible?

My map also shows a series of wells, roads and other items of interest.

Whats the temp below 30ft?
I am looking for an 80ft plus area.

Access to the areas at the base of the dam is a tough hike, at best. Parking on the high ground north of the dam is COE and is not always open. The local dive operator will ferry you around a bit on his pontoon boat for a reasonable fee. I would expect temps at that depth to be in the 50's - and attractions to be slim. Travis at least has the pecan orchard.

I think I saw you there last week. We'll probably get out there again this weekend.

We passed two divers headed south off the platform. I was with a threesome headed toward the platform from the kayak. Was that you? I intended to come over to the car and introduce myself afterwards when I saw yall come out, but forgot. :frown:

I may be able to get a dive or two in on Sat morning. But it is mother's day weekend.

Is your map USGS? I havent found a good contour map of Stillhouse yet. I did find one well near the old bridge rubble (or whatever it is) that was so dark I couldnt see a thing even shining my light down. Of course I dont have much of a light. It looked more like a manhole, not very large diameter.
