Well, it's done and I am already back at work (sigh) The most perfect Catalina weather, comfortable water temps and a wonderful instructor. 5 dives total, each one better than the last. All our dives were at the Casino park but I never tired of the sights. I even saw a HUGE black sea bass! So it's done, I am a PADI OW diver. Those of you with kids will get a kick out of this next story.
When I got home my 13 year old daughter was mostly jealous. She got her PADI OW this summer at the CIMI camp on the island. As I was telling my diving stories from the past few days she kept saying things like "I've done that" "I knew that" "We learned that at CIMI" on and on she kept trying to be-little my dives. In the end she said that we had the same EXACT training. I said there was a difference. She argued "there is not a difference!!!!!" and then I dropped the bomb on her.....
"Your card says JUNIOR certified" Red in the face, she laughed big time.
It was a wonderful time and I can't wait to go again.
