Hello,

We made a stainless steel backplate. Based on some measurments we found on this forum.

Thickness: 3mm
Weight: 4lbs
316 stainless.


We made nice custom design with some lionfish and seahorses - and also the name of the diver.
We got it from the factory and put it on a citric acid bath for 1hour.

Was a fun project. Enjoy the photos.

When you put that thing on back , specially diving with wetsuit , neoprene catch those sharp holes and starts to drag . The result is a damaged surface of the wet suit, I'd rather not try this with dry clothes either ;-)) NOGO for my taste !

Interesting thought.
Haven't happened yet though.
