I recently purchased a Luxfer 40cf aluminum cylinder that I plan to sling as a pony cylinder for the short term but may use as a stage cylinder eventually. I also purchased one of the Halcyon 40cf stage rigging kits. I'm wondering on the proper placement of the hose clamp on the tank, specifically the placement of the fastener/screw part of the clamp. If the tank valve is facing you then obviously the handle portion of the rigging kit will be lengthwise on this side of the tank. When the hose clamp is placed around the tank (over the rigging handle) should the screw portion face the rigging handle? face away from the rigging handle? Basically where around the tank should the actual screw part of the hose clamp be? Obviously this isn't rocket science but am sure there is probably some standard way this is done out there... Thanks in advance?

I have not used the Halcyon rigging kit, but when rigging stage bottles, I put the screw portion of the hose clamp where it crosses the strap. I also cover the screw portion of the clamp with tubing to prevent it from snagging or gouging anything.

This link should give you a general idea.

Just make sure it isn't just to the left of the rigging. That position makes deploying the reg hose a little tougher as it can snag the worm drive. Definitely cover the worm drive so it doesn't cut anything.
