I was wondering with a STA and an Oxycheq backplate do you use ONE tank strap or do you always use 2 Tanks Straps? What if STAless wings like the pioneer? It seems that the tank straps go through both the harness and the air cell with either setup.

I use both slots for two cam bands. More secure that way.

I always thought those BCs with a single looked kind of flimsy like the tank was going to fall out any minute.

I have only used two cam bands but their seems to be implied comments that with a STA you can use just one cam band. I just have not seen this. Thanks

STA = Single Tank Adapter. This would indicate the use of a Single tank, not doubles. If doubles are used you don't need the STA.

Have you seen the Dive Rite SS Cam bands ? This picture (obviously) is from an Ebay auction, I couldn't find a picture on the Dive Rite site. Seems pretty sturdy, "robust" to me.
