Hi, this is one of the anchors we brought up Tuesday out of the St.Clair River in Mi. This is a wood crossarm anchor that is missing the wood and is about 130 years old. we put it on the scales and it weighs 1500 lbs.

WOW!! Gotta ask was the larger chain in the picture attached to the anchor or just used to lift it?
 
Yes the large chain was on the anchor, we did not have to do any cutting it was just laying their.
 
What are you doing to preserve it?
 
Did you use the pump in the background to retrieve the anchor??
 
Make for a nice convo piece on the coffee table. How did you find it?
