So, you take me for an idiot?

Thanks but I know they stretch............I even knew that before I made them grunzster... so I can't be all that stupid.

Cornfed..............Can you say "Ad Hominum"?

You have to make the tubing in three pieces and they have to fit EXACTLY right for your foot when in the fin or there is a gap between the tubing when it retracts which could I imagine get caught which is why I made mine the way I did. Any other questions?

No I'm in idiot that's why I actaully have to ask a follow up.

Do you use tubing that's different diameters, so it overlaps when the spring isn't stretched? If not, why not just use a single piece?

What's really funny about this whole thread is the fact that the picture in the DIRF book shows probably more than half the spring exposed!

I haven't seen the picture so I don't know but would suspect that they are really only using the tubing as a cover for the spring in the contact patch around the ankle. That is obviosly easier and a much quicker job than the way I did it. PM me with your email address and I'll send you a picture. I tried to find the thread that I found all my info on but can't seem to find it.

Choose your risks. There is no such thing as a risk-free experience. You get to pick which is the more important risk to manage. ... is a pair of EMT shears.

AMEN, Genisis.

Fine, repeat after me...

"Despite what the dictionary says 'ad hominem' is a noun"

Say that 50 times each morning and I will reconsider your application for membership in the Karl_in_Calif Memorial Ad Hominem Society.

consider it as done as saying my prayers at night. Thank you, thank you master. I know I am worthy of the Karl_in_Calif Memorial Ad Hominem Society.

Your graciousness is so appreicated.
