Hello,

I have a U.S. Divers 2" SPG with a plastic screw on lens. Unfortunately the lens is now a two piece lens. (See photo) Does anyone know if these lenses are available as a replacement item? A part number or source would be great. I searched the site but did not find any information on this subject.

Thank you,

John

From your picture it looks like the two pieces are intact, individually, so can they be glued back together? I have had no luck using "plastic cement" or epoxy or other "all-purpose" glues for SPG lenses, but if it was mine I'd try gluing them back together with Aqua-Seal. It helps a lot that I just happen to have some, otherwise, unless you have other purposes for the Aqua-Seal, it probably wouldn't be worth the money. As you know, the purpose of the lens is to keep the water out and isn't subject to any internal pressure, so keeping in mind the direction of the force while submerged, the water pressure would act to increase the seal. I recently had very good results calling Aqua Lung's customer support concerning some kid's fins so I think it would be worth a try.
